"I waited tables for a while also. Once, a couple left a $10bill sticking partially out of the check holder. I thought, wow, pretty cool. When I opened the book, it was a Christian pamphlet that had the corner made to be a $10 bill. It said "Disappointed? Don't be, because Jesus died to save you..." or some such bullshit.
